Wednesdays in October 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, & 10/26 – Conformation class will be each Wednesday in October from 6:30 – 8 and meeting in the meeting room upstairs.
Sunday, October 9, 2016 – Please plan to attend the October Council Meeting. Council members will meet in the upstairs meeting room immediately following the worship service.
Sunday, October 9 through Sunday, November 27th – We will begin collecting money and gifts for the children of Martin Luther Silver Springs School for Christmas starting Sunday, October 9th. There will be a box in the Narthex for the toys/gifts and we will have a wish list for the children including stocking stuffers. We will collect these items from October 9 and all gifts must be in by November 27th. Nothing can be wrapped but if you wish to donate wrapping paper and tape they also will be greatly appreciated.
Monday, October 10, 2016 – The Delaware Conference of SEPA will be gathering for our annual Conference Assembly at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 Lynbrooke Road, Springfield, PA 19064. We will be gathering and enjoying fellowship at 6:30 and the meeting will begin at 7:00 and end at 8:30. We ask for each congregation to bring a dessert or finger food to share. Beverages will be provided. We look forward to seeing a full representation of our congregations, there is no limit to the number of participants who may attend.
Wednesday, October 14, 2016 – Bible Study led by Pastor Richard will be held in the meeting room downstairs and we will be continuing to study the book of Acts. Please feel free to bring a brown bag lunch and a friend. We start around 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, October 22, 2016 – Annual Bazaar – We will be having tables for rent for our Annual Bazaar this fall on October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will be renting tables at $25.00 each. If you have a few attic, basement, garage or closet treasures you would like to donate we will have 2 or 3 tables that will profit Grace. If you have more than a few you can rent a table for $25.00 so you can sell your treasures and make some extra cash for yourself or share a table with a friend. We encourage you to ask friends and other family members to see if they are interested in renting a table. We will also be renting tables to the public so if you are interested in renting a table please contact the church office at 610-356-1824 so we can reserve a table for you.
We will be having our lunch items – hot dogs, chili, soup, soda, water, etc. and we will be selling jars of homemade soup and homemade baked goods. We need your help with making soup and baked goods to sell plus set-up and breakdown and clean up and kitchen help. We will need people to make and jar soups and/or make soup to sell as a lunch item.
